My husband and I are going to Disneyworld in March with my daughter who is 25 and her boyfriend. They are really into swing dancing. Does anyone know if there is a venue that caters to swing or at least plays swing some nights?

    Lynn,

While the Atlantic Dance Hall on the BoardWalk would be an ideal venue for swing dancing, it is open on very intermittent schedules, mostly for special events. And I am not aware of any regularly scheduled swing dancing opportunities on property. Sorry.

However there are some regularly scheduled swing dancing nights on the North East side of Orlando. That is exactly the opposite side of Orlando from where Walt Disney World is located, but it might be worth the trip. I have not been myself, but I have read good things. I would recommend you visit the site OrlandoSwing.com to see what is going on. Make sure you check events thoroughly, as some have been discontinued in late 2012.

The truth is that while there is always a lot to do at Walt Disney World, indulging your interests, even if they take you off property, should make for a more full and fun vacation. If it is enjoyable to you, try it out!

    Have a magical vacation!
