My husband and I are going to Disney World in January. My brother and his family are going in March. They are staying off property but would like to have magic bands for their visit to Disney World. Can we give them ours? Can they reassign them in MDE?

    Hello Cindy,

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Once a Guest has assigned a MagicBand to themselves, it is exclusively only for their use. While you are able to manage your MagicBand (deactivate, activate, report it stolen) Guests are unable to transfer their MagicBands to another Guest. Some of the key specs, which makes it yours and yours alone, is your fingerprint. This is scanned when you tap your MagicBand to the touchpoint and are asked to scan your finger, prior to  entering a Walt Disney World Theme Park. For those Guests staying in a participating Walt Disney World Resort and wishing to access charging privileges, one must enter their own 4-digit PIN. These are put into play so all your entitlements such as Magic Your Way Tickets, Special Events, room key entrance, charging privileges, etc. are for you and you alone.

If your brother would like MagicBands, prior to his trip, he has a coupe of options. The Disney Store online, has a wonderful selection or during your stay purchase them from a vast array of magical MagicBands and ship his family a wonderful pre-Walt Disney World Surprise. He can then assign them to his My Disney Experience, prior to his trip.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.
