Hi Esther!
I'm thrilled to see that you've got a Walt Disney World Resort vacation in just a few weeks -how exciting! Welcome to planDisney - I'm happy to help answer your question.
Walt Disney World has policies in place to make sure to provide a safe environment for all guests who visit their theme parks. It's important to be familiar with the
General Walt Disney World Property Rules to ensure a smooth entry through the security lines and into The Most Magical Place on Earth!
My husband is in a wheelchair, and we travel with several medically necessary items in his wheelchair bag when we visit the parks, including medicines he needs at certain times throughout the day. I typically have his medicines in a pill organizer and carry a list of his medications with me. He does not require any liquid medications or injectables, so there are no glass bottles or needles. If you'll be traveling with any glass items or syringes, please inform the security Cast Member checking bags that they are medically necessary items.
If you need any healthcare assistance during your visit to the theme parks, each park has a dedicated
First Aid center that is cool and comfortable, has accessible restrooms, and nurses available to help if needed.
I hope this helps with your planning and preparation for your trip! I hope you have the most magical vacation ever.
