    My husband and I are going to Disney World for my birthday in April and we'd love to take advantage of the water park benefit on our check in day! However, when I look at the calendar for April it says both water parks will be closed. Is this true?

    Hi Rachel! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for visiting us with your question. What a Tigger-ific plan to celebrate in April with a little help from the sweet 2025 Free Water Park Admission benefit being offered!

    I'm happy to assure you that one of the Disney Water Parks will be open in April 2025, to enjoy on your check-in day. The operating schedules have not been released on Disney's website yet, but rest assured that you'll have access to either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach during your Springtime stay. I appreciate how Disney keeps things in tip top shape, constantly maintaining their parks for the best guest experience possible. They currently alternate operations at their two water parks... closing one for refurbishment, while the other stays open. All that to say, Blizzard Beach has been open since last November 2024. And if we "think, think, think"... my guess is you will be enjoying Typhoon Lagoon in April 2025! That matches last year's historical time frame, when Blizzard Beach closed in mid-March 2024 and Typhoon Lagoon re-opened.

    Tropical vibes and wave pool fun are delightful, but one of my favorite things at Typhoon Lagoon is the delicious mini donuts sold at the Joffrey's Coffee cart. My kids and I couldn't get enough of them, be sure to try some! I have pictures of these donuts. I daydream of these donuts. I'm not even kidding, they are that good...
