Ahoy there, Linda!
It's truly my pleasure to welcome you back aboard planDisney! We're so grateful you chose to sail our way once again with your question. It sounds like you're putting the finishing touches on your upcoming Disney Cruise Line adventure, which is always an exciting part of the journey. Before you know it, you'll be stepping aboard as you enter a vacation filled with incredible
entertainment,
dining, and unforgettable memories at sea. A Disney Cruise Line vacation is truly like no other, blending relaxation and adventure with that special touch of Disney magic.
Speaking from personal experience as a wheelchair user, I can confidently share that every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet is thoughtfully designed to accommodate Guests of all abilities, and the Cast Members consistently go above and beyond to offer assistance whenever it's needed. The walk you're likely referring to is from the pier to
Lookout Cay, and the great news is that golf cart transportation is available to help your husband comfortably make that journey.
One excellent resource to review is the
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions booklet, which outlines the many services and accommodations available both onboard and ashore. I also highly recommend completing the online
Special Services Information Form at least 60 days before your cruise. Once submitted, Disney Cruise Line's Special Services team carefully reviews each request and will follow up with personalized guidance on how they can best support your husband's needs.
You're also more than welcome to connect directly with the
Disney Cruise Line Special Services team by phone or email. They're incredibly knowledgeable and happy to walk through the details of your trip to ensure everything goes as smoothly and comfortably as possible.
Linda, I hope this information helps as you prepare for your upcoming voyage. If any other questions pop up along the way, you're always welcome to sail back to planDisney...we're happy to help!
SEAS the day,
Kami
