My husband is diabetic, and will need storage for his insulin. What are the options other than a villa to have fridge access at the Wilderness Lodge? I would prefer a bed over a pullout for our 17yr old.

    Howdy Aubrie!

Here at planDisney we are always happy to help lasso answers to your vacation questions and assist you in planning the most magical vacation possible! You are going to love your stay in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge this fall, with your resort just a short boat ride around the riverbend from Magic Kingdom Park.  October is one of my favorite times to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, with days still warm enough to enjoy the swimming pools and water parks, but not quite as hot as in the summer months. You can also enjoy some of the beautiful fall décor and fun Halloween decorations.

My family has also had to travel with refrigerated medication, and we have found the process of doing so in Walt Disney World very simple. Cast Members are always amazing at making accommodations for Guests, ensuring that they have everything they need to enjoy a safe and wonderful vacation. I am pleased to inform you that ALL of the resort rooms in Disney Resort hotels include a mini-refrigerator or beverage cooler; including the standard rooms at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which provide 2-Queen beds.

Multiple in-park locations are available for keeping your medication cool while you enjoy your time in the theme parks and water parks! Simply ask a Cast Member for the nearest location to store your husband’s medication when you enter the park.

I hope that the information I was able to roundup for you helps you to feel at ease while traveling with your husband’s medication; knowing that you will be able to store it easily in your Disney Resort hotel room and while visiting the theme parks. Please remember that you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
