Welcome Home, Mark!
You're absolutely right - Walt Disney World makes dining with allergies, restrictions and limitations easier than just about any place I've ever traveled!
Finding gluten-free beer isn't as easy as finding great menu options, but it can be done. Nearly every park has at least one location with a beer option. While menus and options can always change, here are a couple of my favorite locations for dining and a brew.
At Disney Springs, check out
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. They currently serve bottles of Red Bridge Beer. Pair this with a gluten-free version of Fish and Chips and you'll feel like you've been transported to Ireland!
Sapporo beer, found at
Katsura Grill and a few other locations in Epcot, is brewed with barley, but the results are filtered, resulting in a a low- or no- gluten beer. Depending on your sensitivity, you may find that to be a good option.
If you're heading to Epcot during a
Special Event like Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Epcot International Festival of the Holidays or the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, be sure to check out the Outdoor Kitchens and kiosks. These booths often have additional gluten free alcoholic options.
Don't be afraid to ask if you don't see an option on the menu! The dining locations may surprise you and have a few options that are not listed. It won't hurt to ask! In addition, Walt Disney World can help provide additional information if you contact them via email at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
Good luck on your beer hunt!
Kathie
