My husband & I have the deluxe meal plan, we have 4 credits left after making all of our reservations. 2 out of the 4 we need to do quick-serve. Do you suggest that we make reservations to finish the credits or do quick-serve?

Hi Heather! If I were you, I would make reservations at table-service restaurants to use the the rest of my deluxe Dining Plan credits. Personally, I prefer eating at table-service restaurants -- I find it more relaxing to have someone bring food and drinks to me, rather than ordering at a counter and then wandering around a crowded restaurant hunting for a table with a tray of food. Also, the menu choices at the table-service restaurants are often more varied and gourmet than the quick-service choices. Finally, you'll get more bang for your buck if you use your Dining Plan credits at table-service restaurants rather than at less-expensive quick-service meals.

My family often eats three table-service meals a day at Disney World. However, I know that some people don't want to spend that much time dining because they feel it cuts into their park touring time, and for that reason, they prefer quick-service meals. I recommend that you make dining reservations, so you won't find yourself hungry and unable to get a table at a sit-down restaurant, but if you aren't hungry or need more time in the park, just cancel your reservation and pick up a counter-service meal instead.

Have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
