My husband, 4yo daughter and I will embark on our first big vacation together in June for the 7-night Alaskan cruise! I'm only concerned about nap and bedtime. I envision my husband and I stuck in the stateroom for 2-3hrs a day and from 8pm on each night.

    Ahoy Ashleigh!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  My princess was four on our first sailing while my son was just a year and a half so I've definitely been in your shoes!  I wouldn't worry about being stuck in your stateroom too much because cruising the high seas with Disney seems to give kids an extra boost of energy.  I think you will be surprised that your little one will keep going and going and going because she doesn't want to miss any of the fun onboard!  During the day my husband and I would take turns lying down for quiet time with the kids, and it was actually nice to have some down time mid day.  At night, the Oceaneer Club will offer nap maps for anyone who wants to lie down and rest.  The counselors will often put on a Disney movie as well.  Since your daughter will be in good hands, you and your husband will have an opportunity to enjoy the nightly entertainment.  If you are assigned first seating, your show will be at 8:30pm each night so I'm sure all three of you will want to go to the Walt Disney Theatre together to see the amazing Broadway-style entertainment.  The youth spaces are open until midnight so it is up to you on how long you want to leave her checked-in.  You can always come by and check on her since you won't ever be too far away!  The counselors will also contact you via the ship's Wave phones if there is ever a problem.
I hope I've helped with your concerns, Ashleigh! Please let me know if you have any other questions before your Alaskan sail away arrives!
    Have a magical day!
