My husband and I are currently trying to book two rooms for the All Stars Movies Resort 11th-25th July next year. Is it possible to ensure we have adjoining rooms and if so how would I go about guaranteeing this as my parents are also joining us?

Hiya Jaclyn! Welcome to planDisney, and we're happy you've visited us with your question. Oh, boy! You're planning a magical vacation for next summer with your parents... I love this so much! And personally, I think you will be delighted with Disney's All-Star Movies. It is such a fun choice of resort! Here you'll find a bustling, happy vibe of excited families, along with whimsical, larger-than-life Disney theming.

It's quite common for family groups to reserve multiple rooms at a Disney Resort, and want to stay as close together as possible. While there are no guarantees, Cast Members will make every effort to accommodate your request for connecting rooms. Here's what you'll want to do when making your reservations.

You will actually need to make two separate reservations, one for each room (or vacation package) at All-Star Movies Resort. Make sure you select the same room type for each, so they will be located in the same building and area. When you reach the final check-out screen, you will be given the option to include "Room & Amenity Requests". One of these is to select "Request a Nearby or Connecting Room". If you select connecting room, it will have you enter the arrival date and primary guest name staying on the second reservation.

It's lovely that they've added this option at check-out. But I highly recommend that you also give Disney Resort Hotel Reservations a call. Have your confirmation number for both reservations handy, and they will be happy to add an additional note of your connecting room request to your reservations. Just a little extra sprinkle of pixie-dust never hurts!

Jaclyn, my last advice to you if you do not receive a resort-refillable mug (which is included when adding a Disney Dining Plan)... is to treat yourself and purchase one. I kid you not, they are one of my favorite things on our Disney World trips! And the self-service refill stations at the Value Resorts are so conveniently located and easy to use. Whether it's my fresh hot coffee refill to start my day, free Diet Coke refill to go with the snack I've grabbed from the World Premier Food Court, or a late night lemonade once we return from the Parks, before heading to my room... I totally get my money's worth! They are lightweight and easy to toss in a park bag, so I always grab a beverage to go before we hop on a Disney bus in the morning. Oh, and did you know that you can "Check Bus Times" in the My Disney Experience app under your Resort details, so that you know when the next bus is departing for EPCOT? It comes in handy!

I'm so excited for you, and I'll be wishing upon a star that you have the most magical vacation ever!  I hope this helps. Please visit us again at planDisney any time, if we can help with any other questions you may have, or offer some fun tips on things like Disney Dining!

    Magical memories await,
    Tami
