My husband and I are considering booking a 10 day trip to Disney World in late October 2013. We have now 21 months old boy/girl twins. They will be 3 1/2 when we go. Do you think they will be too young? Should we wait until they are older?

    Hi Jessica,

I think 3 1/2 is a great time to visit Walt Disney World. I brought my own twins to the parks when they were about that age and we all had a completely fabulous time.

The kids will be able to go on any ride for which there is no height requirement. This includes dozens of options such as It's A Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, the Country Bear Jamboree, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, the Jungle Cruise, and so much more. They'll also love the characters, character meals, parades, shows, and the pool at your hotel. And if you're visiting in October, you could go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and trick or treat right in the Magic Kingdom!

If you're interested in a longer discussion of this topic, head on over the independent website blog.touringplans.com and look for an article called "What's the Right Age for a Visit to Disney World?" You'll see lots of opinions, most of which are strongly in favor of bringing preschoolers to Walt Disney World.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
