My husband has a conference at the Hilton at Disney World in December and we are wondering if it would be feasible for us to purchase a dining plan for me, my son, and my mom, especially if we want to do character dining? Thanks!

    Mindy,

The Disney dining plan is a great program, however I do not believe that you can purchase that if you are staying at the Hilton. It is a program reserved for just guests of the Walt Disney-owned resorts.

Now you might contact the Hilton directly, as they have been able to negotiate certain perks typically reserved for just Disney resorts, like access to Extra Magic Hours. But to my knowledge the Dining Plan is still not available there.

If you can do it, great. It could help in saving some money. Otherwise no worries, as it gives no advantage to others in booking reservations, and you certainly could still make some reservations for character meals!

Oh, and don't think if this as a negative to the resort. It is a great hotel, and the savings of a dining plan are not as huge as they used to be. So enjoy the wonderful resort, and have fun being so close to Walt Disney World!

If you need dining recommendations, let me know! I am always glad to help!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
