My husband and I are coming to WDW 08/26-09/01. I currently have AKL booked but was thinking about changing to POR. What building should I request for something quiet, relaxing and romantic? We don't mind a long walk to pool, food, bus, etc... Thanks : )

Hi Kati! Congratulations on booking a stay at Walt Disney World.  I love going in the latter part of August as the crowds are getting lighter, and we get to enjoy the fall decor!  Disney's Port Orleans--Riverside is a resort full of Southern Charm and gorgeously landscaped.  There's tons for a couple to do:  a romantic walk through the resort, along the Sassagoula River; perhaps a surrey bike ride might be something you may fancy; or a horse drawn carriage ride:  the epitomy of romance!

My recommendation to you would be to try and reserve a room in the Alligator Bayou section.  These rooms are somewhat remote,  with lush grounds and landscaped walkways, you can definitely find the quiet and relaxing time you need here!

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
