My husband and I are coming to the food & wine festival and cannot get a room for all the nights of our stay at BLT. How do you get a cab from Epcot? Also, any must do's for a 1st timer? We are a little overwhelmed by all the seminars and can't choose.

    Hi Christy,

Getting a taxi from Epcot is quite easy. When you exit the park, head toward the bus loading zone. There is a taxi stand right there. I usually find that there are half a dozen cabs waiting. If for some reason there are no cabs available, just walk over to the nearby transportation information booth and they'll either call one for you or give you a number to call one yourself.

I LOVE the Food & Wine Festival, but each person's tastes are different, so it's difficult to make specific recommendations. My favorite part of F&W is actually all the tasting booths set up in the World Showcase. I try to get one dish at each booth over the course of several days. YUMMY.

As for seminars, I'd choose one or two a day on a topic that suits your interests. Want to learn about wine? Go to a wine seminar! Want to make great desserts? Go to a dessert seminar! The Festival Center has cast members there who can give you all the details about what's going on each day. You may also want to head over to the independent website DisneyFoodBlog.com. They have extremely detailed coverage of the festival, including an entire eBook on the topic. Many first timers find this quite helpful.

    Happy eating!
