My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary soon. Which Disney restaurant would you recommend for a couples night out? How would we book your recommended restaurants?

Hey there, Octavia, and welcome back to planDisney!

As a gal who loves romantic dinners, I am more than happy to share some of my and my husband’s favorite date night spots (all outside of the theme parks). I’ll notate the restaurants we’ve gone to specifically for anniversary or adult birthday celebrations with an “*.”

-Jiko—The Cooking Place at Animal Kingdom Lodge* (Seriously, some of the best Signature Dining food on property.)
-Toledo at Coronado Springs hotel (The Gran Destino Tower is already a vibe, but following dinner with Dahlia Lounge is the cherry on top.)
-California Grill at the Contemporary hotel* (Watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks together from the rooftop outside of the dining room. The music from the show is piped in, too. This is so romantic!)
-Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian hotel (Another restaurant with a fireworks view if you time it properly.)
-Topolino’s Terrace at the Riviera hotel* (The dinner and service here are amazing, and you can view the EPCOT fireworks show from the rooftop outside. The grounds of this hotel are relaxing as well.)

We’ve yet to experience The Dining Room at Victoria & Albert’s, but I can imagine that it is the place to celebrate a major wedding anniversary milestone. It is a MICHELIN Guide restaurant, one of the few in the Central Florida area. Friends of mine who have been say that it’s a truly unique experience. You can also find this gem at the Grand Floridian hotel.

You can make your advance dining reservations up to 60 days before your big night out. The booking window opens around 6 a.m. EST, so be ready and logged in to the My Disney Experience app or the official Disney World website.

AN EXTRA GEM: If you decide to stay on property at a Disney World Resort hotel for your trip, you technically can get a head start on dining reservations with a bit of strategy. The window begins 60 days in advance. However, if you’re an on-site Guest, you can book up to 10 days’ worth of reservations when the window opens.

Octavia, I am so excited for you and your husband to have some alone time to celebrate your anniversary! I’m wishing on a star that it’s one of your best years yet. Please don’t hesitate to revisit us here at planDisney if you have additional questions about your upcoming staycations.

    Magic always,
    LeAndra
