Wow! How exciting to have a complimentary stay at a Deluxe Category Walt Disney World Resort hotel. I haven't had the pleasure of staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort but I hope to soon!
We often travel to the Most Magical Place on Earth with my in-laws who both have mobility issues, so I make sure to check out the resorts ahead of time so that they do not have to walk long distances.
Judi, the first thing that I would advise you to do is to book a room in the Main Tower, and not in the Garden Wing. This will make sure that you are closer to dining and transportation options.
When you go through the
online check-in process, you will be able to make a couple of room requests, one of those options being "near lobby." I would also advise you to give the Cast Members a call at (407) 939-5277 and let them know that you may need a room closer to the resort's amenities. While they will not be able to guarantee a location, they will note your preference on your account.
Judi, while my in-laws do not use a
scooter or ECV in everyday life, they always rent one at Walt Disney World Resort. If this would be an option for you, you can rent scooters either in each theme park or from an outside rental agency. Currently, ScooterBug is the Disney Featured Provider and is able to drop off your ECV at Bell Services at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
