My husband and I are big foodies, but our young kids, not so much. Can I pack them food to take into restaurants so my husband and I can enjoy all of the great dining Disney has to offer, while still making sure they have full bellies?

Hello there, Brittany! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach back out and allowing us to help you plan another vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

I am right there with you as far as being a major foodie! One of my favorite parts of visiting Walt Disney World Resort is eating some of our favorite dishes and also sampling some new items! Depending on when you plan on visiting, there are also many seasonal offerings that are must-tries! As you may already know, the various seasonal festivals at Epcot all offer their own unique dishes through a variety of outdoor kitchens. If you plan on visiting before July 5th, you will be able to enjoy the tastes of springtime at the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. If you are visiting any time between July 15th and November 20th, you can eat your way around the world at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Either of these events are so much fun and are a great way to sample dishes you may not get to try otherwise!

I am happy to report that the majority of dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort are incredibly understanding when it comes to situations like your own! There are many families that struggle with picky eaters but also want to enjoy a delicious meal. I would recommend letting a Cast Member know upon arrival that you’ve brought food for your little ones. This way, they know ahead of time that they will not be ordering themselves. The only place this may be an issue is at dining locations that are all-you-care-to-enjoy. These locations have slightly different rules so you may want to double-check with a Cast Member if any of these locations are in your plans!

Best of luck planning your future visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can provide any additional planning assistance!
