my husband will be attending a conference at the gaylord palms so we will be staying there. We have a shuttle service that will take us to the parks but how easy is it to get around to different parks and downtown disney and how?

Hi, Lauren!  These four words are likely to become your best friends if you are headed to Walt Disney World - Transportation and Ticket Center.  Located near the Magic Kingdom, you will find transportation to anywhere you need to go right here.  The buses that leave here will take you to any Walt Disney World resort hotel, in case you want to do some shopping or have a meal at one of the resorts; they will take you to the theme parks; and you can get to Downtown Disney from here.

You will also find there are some resort and theme park locations available by boat or ferry, and between the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, you can use the monorail system.

More information on the Walt Disney World transportation system can be found HERE.  Keep in mind when reading that even though you are not a Walt Disney World resort guest, you can still use the transportation system to move between locations.

I hope you have a terrific time!
