Welcome to planDisney, Gemma! I love helping out fellow Disney Parks fans, and I am so excited you wish to come back to the Happiest Place on Earth with your family!
Disneyland Resort has three wonderful resort options for families! The first one is
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Modeled after the seaside boardwalks of California, it is a great option for families! I stayed here with my husband a few years ago, and we loved how it is a quick walk to the Downtown Disney District and the main entrances of both
Disneyland Park and
Disney's California Adventure.
Disneyland Hotel is an icon! It is the original Disney resort, and it boasts 3 different themed towers: Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier. This hotel is a hop, skip, and jump to Downtown Disney District, and quick to the theme park entrances. There are also two pools with monorail-themed slides, perfect for the little ones! Speaking of littles, a meal at Goofy's Kitchen is a must! There is no better way to start a day at the parks than with Mickey Waffles and a hug from some of your favorite pals!
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the last of the three and is the most luxurious of the three. The gorgeous theming of this hotel will make you feel like you are up in the rugged wilderness of California, and not in the middle of Anaheim! This resort boasts its own entrance to Disney's California Adventure and is a hop, skip, and jump away from Downtown Disney. If you are a fan of signature dining, make a reservation for Napa Rose, and if you have little princesses in your party, a breakfast reservation at Napa Rose for the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures.
Gemma, I hope all of this information helps you decide which resort "glass slipper" best fits you and your family! As always, feel free to stop by the Panel again with any other questions you may have, and happy planning!
