Hubby's a marathon runner & he's concerned about where he can run. We are staying at AKL & saw that there is a 0.16 mile running path around a pool area. Is there anywhere else around AKL that he can run or is he stuck doing laps? He won't do the t

    Hi Sara!

Your husband sure is a dedicated runner! I run shorter distances (5K is plenty for me) but I never seem to get to it on a Disney vacation. Walking all day in the parks tires me out enough!

If you're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, a great place to run is between Jambo house and Kidani Village. There is a walking path that's approximately 1/2 mile long between the two resorts. You can make these even longer by running over to Kidani Village and then to the tennis courts and other recreation areas found there.

Estimating, I think it would be about a 1.25 to 1.5 mile loop. If your husband is looking to get in longer distances, he may want to run this a few times, but at least he'll be out of the way of the most congested areas (pools!) and shouldn't have any trouble.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!
