My hubby, 2 yr old son & I are heading to WDW in June, can't wait! We have a few reservations already and want to be pretty flexible the rest of the trip. Is it worth it to get a Dining Plan? It's all so overwhelming! Love all your help!!!

    Hi Erin,

We are glad you like the site!

The Dining Plan offers you flexibility as you can eat anywhere in Disney World.  It also allows you to prepay for a part of your vacation.  However, if it is worth it to you really depends on your own family's needs.

Since you are looking for flexibility and you have a young pirate, I would recommend the Basic Dining Plan.  Since your son is only two, he would not be on the Dining Plan so it would be just your husband and yourself.  The Basic Dining Plan would give you a snack, a counter service meal and a table service meal each day of your stay.

I would go to Allearsnet.com to look up the menus for the restaurants you chose.  If your meals at those restaurants are around the price of the dining plan, I would go with it.  If not, then pay for your meals as you use them.

June will be busy so remember scheduling your meals allows you a place to unwind and get cool from the heat of Florida.

    Have fun!
