My hubby and I were at WDW for halloween last year and we had a character dining experience at the Liberty Tree. We really enjoyed that but they told us that as of Jan 1 2009 it would no longer be character, the website says it is...who's right??

Unfortunately there seems to be a lag in updating the WDW website. Character dining was indeed discontinued at the Magic Kingdom's Liberty Tree Tavern in January 2009. You can still get great food there, just not with the characters.

If you'd like to dine with characters in the Magic Kingdom, you can dine with princesses in the castle or with Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace. Classic Disney characters (like those that were at the Liberty Tree) can be found nearby at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary hotel.
