Hi, Tish! I'm so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be so excited about your upcoming stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This South Seas-themed resort is in an ideal location, and hopping on the monorail makes getting to the theme parks a breeze.
It's a fantastic idea to plan a date night at Epcot. In fact, my husband and I did the same thing the year we stayed at the Polynesian. Back then, The Neverland Club was still a child care facility, and I loved seeing my kiddos climb through the "window" in Wendy's bedroom to play with Peter and his friends. Even though it's no longer there, don't fret, because I have an excellent option for you to consider!
Opening later this month at
Disney's Beach Club Resort, is a new swashbuckling adventure called
Captain Hook's Pirate Crew. Young buccaneers ages 4-12 will enjoy a boat ride around Crescent Lake while searching for treasure before getting to meet villainous Captain Hook himself. The event will run nightly from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and dinner is included. Call (407) 824-5437 for reservations. To get to Disney's Beach Club Resort, I would suggest taking a
Minnie Van, which works through the Lyft app. Once you check the kids in, feel free to walk to Epcot through the International Gateway Entrance. Then you'll have several child-free hours to dine and ride Soarin' to your heart's content. You'll be able to leave the Park the same way to pick up your Mouseketeers, before heading back to your resort.
I hope your family has a fantastic trip this summer, Tish!
