    My hubby and myself are visiting 1/16/10-1/24/10, w/o kids, we are can't decide if one of the PO resorts or WL is where we should stay. Althought we are traveling w/o kids, the room will be used as nap central for other family members kids.

    Kathleen,

    The big question is, where is everyone else staying? To make it convenient for those naps, that will matter. Keeping that out of the equation, here is my comparison;

    Wilderness Lodge is great for the theming, the proximity to the Magic Kingdom, and resort amenities like a great upscale restaurant (Artist Point) and a fun family restaurant (Whispering Canyon Cafe).

    Port Orleans (Riverside and  French Quarter) is fantastic for the wonderful grounds that are particularly family friendly, as well as the convenient boat access to Downtown Disney. And of course it is less expensive!

    Of the two I prefer the Wilderness Lodge, but you might like the access to the shops and restaurants of the nearby Downtown Disney. In your case I would say that the room savings and the proximity to Downtown Disney would make Port Orleans a better choice. Of the two parts of Port Orleans, I would recommend for you the French Quarter side.

    I am glad to offer more suggestions, if you would like. Just send me a direct question from my bio page with more information on your interests, where everyone else is staying, etc.

    Have a magical vacation!
