Howdy! I'm super excited to be inviting my in-laws and nieces to join us aboard our next cruise. This will be their first time on any cruise, let alone Disney! What are your top five tips for new cruisers? Happy Sails!

    Ahoy Lorelei!

I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I bet your in-laws and nieces are incredibly excited about their first Disney Cruise!

Tips for a Disney Cruise (or Things I Wish I Had Known On My First Disney Cruise)

    1. Your stateroom door is magnetic, and all the doors look the same. Many of your fellow cruisers will decorate their doors, which is totally cool.  Our girls, ages six and nine, had trouble remembering our stateroom number. If you bring something that will stick to the door to help identify it, you will be grateful! .

    2.
You can’t do everything on the ship, and it’s ok. Choose the activities and shows that you really want to attend, and skip the things that you are on the fence about.

    3. Room Service is included in the price of your cruise, and it’s awesome. I had no idea that I could order a Mickey Ice Cream Bar at midnight until AFTER I came home from my first cruise. What a missed opportunity!

    4. Your servers are amazing, and know EVERYTHING!  Listen to their advice.  On our very first Disney cruise, our server told us that the best place to see the “Pirates in the Caribbean” deck party fireworks was on Deck 12, starboard side, and our view was awesome!

    5. You will become addicted to Disney Cruises after your first.  Be sure to book your second one while you are onboard to enjoy a 10% savings plus a stateroom credit on your next cruise!  You can always cancel if you change your mind, but you can only benefit from the discount while you are onboard the ship.

I could go on and on.  I hope you have a wonderful extended-family cruise!

    Happy Cruising! Tracy V,

I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
