Howdy Icez,
Welcome to planDisney! My little one is about to turn three, and I don't know about you, but it has me in my feels. I definitely relate to Woody saying that you can't stop your little one from growing up, but you wouldn't miss it for the world. Your little one will always be your favorite deputy and three cheers for their birthday and the many memories you will continue to make at Walt Disney World Resort.
So, first off, great question, Icez. As a Passholder, I also wondered if I needed to grab Bullseye and "ride like the wind" to go grab an annual pass for my daughter once her birthday came around. I spoke to a Cast Member on the
VIP Passholder line, and they said that once your little one turns three, they will need either a theme park ticket or an annual pass to visit Walt Disney World Resort. So, if your little one will be three during your trip in a couple of days, you will need to have one for them on this trip.
Before I let you go, one thing we've been discussing in my house is whether to wait until next winter to purchase our daughter's
annual pass so it aligns with our expiration dates or if we want staggered dates. If you're also considering this, now would be a great time to buy theme park tickets rather than an annual pass. This summer, you can save
50% on a kid's 3-day ticket (just one of the many fun things a part of
Cool KID Summer)! This would enable you to get them into the theme parks for this trip, and then you can purchase an annual pass for them once yours expires so that the dates align. I hope this was helpful, Icez. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
So Long Partner and Happy Planning,
