Howdy moms! My family of four will be going to Disney World in mid August. I was wondering how bad the crowds will be in comparison to times like March and December/Janurary. Thanks!

    Rebecca,

August is usually a pretty busy month through the first three weeks, with the last week dropping off a bit. For those first three weeks, we are talking like a 4 our of 5. While those early week crowds are usually pretty busy, in my last two visit to the parks in August in 2010 and 2011, things were lighter than I had expected.

As a comparison, the first three weeks of August crowds are busier than March's first two weeks crowds, but lighter than the second half of March. As for late December, nothing is as crowded as that, except around Thanksgiving.

I hope that this helps? Write me back with any follow-up questions if you have them!

    Have a magical vacation!
