Hi Jennifer, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. There’s nothing I love more than meeting friends for a magical day at Disney! So let’s talk parking logistics.
I chatted with a Cast Member to double-check, and they recommended having your friends go to the Front Desk to add you as a Day Guest. They’ll give you more information on what to do when you get to the resort hotel. But typically, when you get to the
Yacht Club Resort security booth, you’ll need to provide your friend's name and room number, as well as your photo identification. The security booth is staffed 24 hours a day, so you can arrive as early or late as you’d like.
Self-parking is complimentary, but keep in mind that it can be subject to availability for day guests, especially during busy times of the year.
I absolutely love all of the resort hotels around Crescent Lake, including the Yacht Club. The short walk to EPCOT is great, but there’s also so much to do without even setting foot into the theme parks. One of my family’s favorite restaurants is
Ale & Compass, right at the Yacht Club. The Parker House Rolls with Citrus Butter are always a must when we’re there! If you’re looking for a sweet treat, there’s also
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop next door at the
Beach Club Resort, which also has a to-go menu.
Other nearby activities include renting a
Surrey bike at the BoardWalk resort and playing mini golf at
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways. I also love to head to the
BoardWalk at night to watch the street performers and stop into
AbracadaBar for a cocktail. It has the best evening vibes!
I hope you have a magical visit with your friends! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
