    Hotels recommended near Galveston port

    Ahoy there, Vince!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Your countdown to your Disney Cruise Line vacation is about to hit single digits; you must be so excited! Thanks for bringing your questions to us.

I'm glad plan to stay at the Port of Galveston the night before your cruise since it will make your embarkation day smooth sailing. Currently, Disney Cruise Line recommends The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center, and Hilton Galveston Island Resort. Both resorts are within 5 miles of the cruise terminal. If you prefer, you may contact Disney Cruise Line to book your hotel accommodations before your cruise.

Once you arrive at the Port of Galveston, you have several parking options. There is an Economy lot near the terminal that offers a shuttle service. The Express lot and the parking garage are both located within walking distance of the terminal (these two options do not include a shuttle service). The Port of Galveston Cruise Parking operates each of these parking options and it is recommended that you book your reservation in advance on their website since parking is limited.

I'm excited that you will be sailing aboard Disney Magic, Vince! As the maiden vessel in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, she is full of nostalgia and fun! Animator's Palate on Disney Magic is one of my very favorite Rotational Dining venues. Now, I don't want to spoil all the surprises for you, but be prepared for the room to transform right before your eyes with the power of Disney Imagineering!

Vince, please let us know if you have other questions; we are here to help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
