Which hotels have been recently renovated thank you

    Hi Debbie,

It sounds like you're narrowing down your list of Disney Resort hotel options for your upcoming visit, and I think it's a great idea to take the renovation schedules into account as you make your decision! Here's what comes to mind.

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has been undergoing a total transformation over the past few years and the results have been spectacular. It seems almost everything has been, or is being, updated, from the longhouse rooms to the lobby. Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, the newest Disney Vacation Club property, is now open, and the addition of Trader Sam's Grog Grotto has been wildly popular. Enhancements to the pools are still underway through early 2016.

Guest room renovations are underway at Disney's Beach Club Resort and should be complete by late August, with rooms at Disney's Beach Club Villas scheduled to begin after that. The refurbishments will include all-new hard and soft goods.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort also updated its rooms late last year, including replacing the double beds with queen beds and adding wooden partitions to separate the vanity and sleeping areas. Most rooms also had Murphy-style beds added, making space for up to 5 people to sleep instead of 4. They're now putting the final touches on their Pirate Room renovations, which should be complete any day.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort's Casitas Leisure Pool and La Vida Health Club will be closed through mid-October for refurbishment, but there will be a temporary fitness center location and the other pools will still be open.

Finally, the rooms at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort are being updated. Swan rooms are scheduled for 2015 and Dolphin for 2016.

I haven't heard rumors about what renovations might be coming next, but I'm sure more magical updates are in the works. Wishing you pixie-dusted planning!
