Are there any hotels on the DIsney property that offer kitchens and 2 bdrms? The Deluxe Resorts seem to be a little pricey and I would like to cut costs by cooking sometimes.

It sounds like what you're looking for are villa-style rooms. These accommodations are available at the Boardwalk, Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Old Key West, Saratoga Spring, and Wilderness Lodge resorts. There are two types of villas that might be right for you depending on the size of your party.

The one bedroom villas actually give you two separate rooms: a bedroom with two queen size beds and a living room that has a queen size pull-out couch. In addition to this you have a real kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and a washer/dryer. The kitchen comes stocked with dishes and cookware. These rooms are designed to sleep up to six people, plus one child under the age of three in a pack 'n play crib.

The two bedroom villas give you three separate rooms. They include everything I mentioned above with the one bedroom villas, plus a large second bedroom with a king-sized bed, and a second bathroom with a big whirlpool tub. It really feels like a small apartment -- or an enormously huge apartment if you live in Manhattan :-)

I have stayed in both one and two bedroom villas and they give you an incredible amount of space for vacation living. As with all Disney accommodations, the price of the villas varies seasonally. During the value season the villas can be a reasonable choice for a larger traveling party. If you want a villa during the holiday season, you're going to need to save your pennies for a while.

If the villas don't seem right for you, you might also look into the family suites at the All Star Music resort. These are smaller rooms, but there are two separate areas and they do sleep six people. The family suites do not have a full kitchen like the villas, but they do have a kitchenette area with a small-size refrigerator, sink, and microwave.

For more information about any of these rooms, you should call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY.

I hope this gives you some ideas.
