Hi, Donna! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A dog-owner myself, I also like to be aware of the most recent policies regarding our furry loved ones!
As part of an ongoing pilot program, four of the Disney Resort hotels have designated dog-friendly accommodations, including the following:
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort
Your furry friend will enjoy areas that feature outdoor walkways for exercise and, of course, green spaces for them to take care of their physical needs. Currently, dogs are the only pets allowed on
property. They are expected to be on their best behavior and to be kept leashed in public areas. They must also be properly vaccinated for the safety of others.
Keep in mind that even though you might want to take your doggie with you everywhere you go in the Resort, the majority of areas are expected to be dog-free in order to protect Guests with allergies.
Something that has caused some confusion is Theme Park admission policy for dogs. Except for properly identified service animals, dogs (including emotional support ones) are not allowed in theme parks, water parks or common areas such as restaurants, pools and other similar spaces. When you arrive at your resort, you will find a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit (featuring a collection of dog items). If you need pet daycare or other services, you can call (407) 934-7639 or visit
this link for more information.
I hope these thoughts are helpful. I wish you a wonderful trip with your four-legged friend!
