Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julie! It sounds like you're beginning to plan an exciting trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! I'm excited for you to experience all of the magic of staying at a Disney Resort and exploring the parks!
You asked which resorts are close enough to walk, and that really depends on which park. The Walt Disney World Resort includes four parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, along with two water parks as well.
Disney's Contemporary Resort is right next to Magic Kingdom with a path that allows guests to take the quick five to ten minute walk over. However, a more fun way is the Resort Monorail which connects three resorts to Magic Kingdom. Disney's Contemporary,
Polynesian Village, and
Grand Floridian are all on this route. The last stop before Magic Kingdom is Grand Floridian so they have the shortest ride over. Guests staying at
Wilderness Lodge are right next to Magic Kingdom too, with a short boat ride to get to the park, which is a favorite of my kids. They love taking the water ferry and also the monorail. These are like attractions in themselves!
Disney's Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club are all near Epcot with a walking path right into the World Showcase area of the park. Those are beautiful resorts too, which also include water ferries to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Staying at any park includes bus service to all the parks and Disney Springs, so it's super easy to get to any of the parks from any of the resorts!
I hope those details help as you as you continue to plan your trip, Julie!
