Hi James! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Let me start by saying that I'm so sorry to hear about your wife and I hope she is on the road to recovery. I wish her all the best and can't wait till she is back to 100% health.
Based on your question, it seems like you already went ahead and re-booked your stay for April 2024. As you probably witnessed, changing the dates of a vacation package that you have booked is fairly easy. When it comes to purchasing
special event tickets, this will be handled slightly differently. These tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, so you will not be able to receive any money back. However, you may be able to use the value you paid for these tickets toward the purchase of a future special event ticket. While Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will not be happening then, there may be other offerings available during your visit. Walt Disney World brought back
Disney After Hours events last year that required a special ticket for purchase. While there is nothing scheduled yet for 2024, this may be something you can put the value of your tickets toward for your visit.
When the time comes, you'll need to
call the Existing Ticket line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to help make any changes needed and advise you on your options for your unused special event tickets.
James, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and we are looking forward to your visit in the new year!
