Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you’re here with this question about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels can travel to and from all 4 theme parks and more using Disney’s resort
transportation system. This is one of my favorite parts about a Disney vacation, because for me its not truly a vacation if I need to drive.
Your plan to travel by bus from Disney’s All-Stars Resorts to the Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the bus to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter during your resort stay is a solid one. Access to great transportation options is one of the many perks available to you as a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest.
While you’re visiting the Port Orleans resorts, try to make some time for
Scat Cat’s Club at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. The Lounge opens in the evening and provides a hip place for you to relax and enjoy live jazz music, fun cocktails and tasty treats. If you don’t have time for the lounge, you can always pop into the
cafe for some of those yummy treats (like the delectable beignets). I’m excited for you to experience this fun, New Orleans vibe. Just keep in mind that both the cafe and lounge are closing temporarily for refurbishment on October 6. Beignets and coffee will still be available at
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. A temporary bar will be available near the cafe from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. during this time, and live music will still be available on select evenings in the lobby of the hotel.
