Hi! I have a hotel reservation e I’ve already checked in online. At the day of my check in, can I go straight to the water park? How do I use the free admission to a water park on my check in day? What must I say or do at the park? Thank you 😊

    Hiya Alice!

Thank you so much for visiting us here at planDisney again, this time with your water park question! I am so excited to help you make a splash on your upcoming Disney World vacation.

So, let’s dive right into your question. You will be happy to know that as long as you are a Guest staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can enjoy admission to one of the Disney water parks, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, on your check-in day; no need to check into your hotel first. You can head right to the water park and start your day with some fun in the sun!

My only recommendation is that if you have luggage with you, stop by your Disney Resort first and leave it with Bell Services. Lockers are available at the water parks, but they are best for smaller items and bags.

When you arrive at the water park, you can scan your MagicBand, Key to the World card, or use MagicMobile service through the My Disney Experience app. As long as your name is listed on the Disney Resort reservation, you should be all set to splash, float, and slide the day away.

In fact, my family just had the chance to visit Typhoon Lagoon Water Park this past week, and it was such a splashtastic time! We relaxed along Castaway Creek, enjoyed the wave pool, and went straight to the water park by scanning our MagicBands before setting off for fun in the sun. It was the perfect way to kick off our Disney Resort hotel stay.

One little tip before you ride the wave into vacation mode: be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen. The Florida sun can be very strong, especially in August, and you will want to stay protected while you soak up all that water park magic.

Alice, I hope this helps answer your question and gets you ready for a practically perfect splash day! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to stop by and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
