Which hotel would you recommend between Wilderness Lodge resort and Polynesean? Will have 5 adults and 5 kids (12, 10, 9, 7, 6) and are planning on 3 seperate rooms. Thank you for you advice!

    Hi Jennifer!

Wow! What a great (but tough!) choice to have to make!

Our family has been lucky enough to try out both of these resorts, and we love them both. BUT - the Wilderness Lodge is my absolute favorite resort of all time! Both of my kids and husband pick this resort each time we plan a Disney trip!

The lodge is simply stunning. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you are swept away to the Pacific Northwest! Enormous Totem poles, wood beams, and a small stream really bring the lodge to life!

A great feature of the lodge is that it offers bunk beds. These are a peace saver for us! With a 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son, sharing beds is just not an option anymore. Luckily, with the bunk beds, each child can have their own bed AND mom & dad too!

The pool area is a fun place to hang out for an afternoon (or full day if you can schedule it!). The pool slide isn't particularly long, but its fun! There are often kids activities there throughout the day.

Transportation from the lodge to the Magic Kingdom is by boat. We particularly enjoy the ride - its a short, quiet way to grab a few minutes of relaxation. Transportation to other parks is by bus.

The Polynesian is wonderful too. The monorail really can't be beat! But, overall, we prefer the Wilderness Lodge.

    Hope this helps!
