We have hotel and park reservations and tickets for an upcoming vacation Feb 27-March 6, 2021. How much would it cost to update our tickets to park hoppers? We have 3 7-day tickets and 2 6-day tickets.

    Hi Lisa,

How exciting that in just a few short weeks, you'll be at The Most Magical Place on Earth along with several fellow Mouseketeers, soaking up all of the magic and fun? I'm excited FOR you!

I'm happy to let you know that you'll be able to upgrade your theme park tickets by paying the difference between the tickets you currently have and the ones to which you'd like to upgrade. Since the cost to upgrade to the Park Hopper option can vary based on the details of each ticket, I'd encourage you to price out the difference for your exact tickets online. While always subject to change, I just did a quick check for you, and 6-day and 7-day tickets with a start date of February 27, 2021 currently show an extra cost of $85 per ticket plus tax to upgrade to the Park Hopper option. Because that cost will not change if you wait until later in your vacation to upgrade your tickets, I'd recommend upgrading them as soon as you know you'd like the freedom to experience more than one park per day. You might as well be able to enjoy that perk throughout your entire vacation!

Depending on how you purchased your theme park tickets, you may be able to upgrade them online. If you don't see an option to change your tickets, though, you may call a Cast Member who specializes in existing tickets ahead of time or visit a theme park ticket window, a Guest Relations location, or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs once you arrive.

With things just a little different now than they used to be, here are a few extra tips that I hope are helpful! First, don't forget that Disney Park Pass reservations are required for the first park you're planning to visit each day, and you must enter that park before you'll be able to visit any other parks. With the Park Hopper option, though, you'll be able to visit one or more additional theme parks beginning at 2 PM each day without needing any further reservations. Also, be sure to keep your My Disney Experience mobile app notifications on, as park hopping availability is still subject to capacity limitations and any news regarding exclusions will be sent through real-time notifications.

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Lisa, and please come back and see us again if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your loved ones have a truly magical vacation and make memories together to cherish for a lifetime!
