In which hotel is the biggest gingerbread house? A fiend of mine tell me tha I have to see this...

There are a number of major gingerbread creations at Walt Disney World, but the one your friend has mentioned is probably the large gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. This is magnificent and worth a special trip to the hotel just to see it. My favorite part is the gingerbread scent that puffs out of the chimney. If you want to see the gingerbread houses, you need to act quickly, most of the holiday decor at WDW will be dismantled by January 3-5, 2010.

If you're looking for additional information about the gingerbread creations at more of the hotels (I love the gingerbread carousel at the Beach Club), you might want to take a look at the independent website disneyfoodblog.com. The December 8 post "Disney Foodie Decor: Walt Disney World Gingerbread Houses" gives the complete scoop on this year's gingerbread creations.  [Full disclosure: I took a few of the photos in that post, but that doesn't make me biased or anything :-).]

Have a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World!
