Hey there,
When trying to select the perfect Walt Disney World Resort hotel for your family feels a little overwhelming, we are here to help. You have come to the right place, and we are glad you are here.
We prioritized double-stroller convenience when selecting a Walt Disney World Resort hotel when our girls were little. For us, that meant that we wanted to get to as many destinations as possible in a way that did not require removing our stash of alllll the things from the bottom basket or our two (potentially sleeping) babies, and folding up our giant stroller. Walking, FriendShip boats, the Disney Monorail, and the Disney Skyliner can all accomodate roll-on stroller.
Let's start with my suggestions for a Deluxe Resort: We love the convenience of
Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, or
Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Here, you can walk or opt for boat transportation to Disney's Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. At the end of a long day, with your baby in a carrier or a stroller, you can easily head "Home" for the evening with a leisurely stroll through one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of Walt Disney World Resort.
Another very convenient option would be Disney's Contemporary Resort. Zoom over to Magic Kingdom Park on the Disney Monorail to begin your day and avoid getting too cozy with fellow travelers by opting for a relaxing, 10-minute walk back to your Resort hotel when the theme park closes. Plus, you can ride the Disney Monorail (with one easy transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center) to enjoy your day at EPCOT as well.
If you are considering a Moderate Resort or Value Resort, I suggest an option with a Disney Skyliner Station. That way, you can easily make your way to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios without folding a stroller. For this, check out
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, or
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
If you will call Walt Disney World "Home" for more than a night or two, you might consider selecting a 1-, 2-, or 3-bedroom
Deluxe Villa for your vacation. That way, you will have access to a complete kitchen with full-size appliances and a washer and dryer. Babies can be messy! Having a washer and dryer right in our space has come in clutch a few times.
With all of that said, to give you my one top choice, I would recommend a 1-Bedroom Villa at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Enjoy the serenity of a location away from the center of this iconic Resort while still enjoying the convenience of the Disney Monorail and proximity to Magic Kingdom Park. Excellent dining options like Chef Mickeys, Steakhouse 71, California Grill, Contempo Cafe, and (one of my favorite coffee shops on property) Contemporary Grounds are all mere steps away. Finally, if your little one needs to tuck in early, you can still enjoy a Nighttime Spectacular from your Theme Park View balcony!
Tip: each theme park offers a Baby Care Center designed to provide a peaceful and convenient space for feeding, changing, and resting, ensuring that your little ones are well taken care of during your visit. Be sure to swing in if you need a quiet moment in the middle of your busy day!
I hope that was helpful! Please come back and see us if you need any other suggestions. We are here for you!
Adventure is out there,
Sally
