We would like to take a horse drawn carriage ride. We are staying at the French Quarter. Which option would be a less walking? Walking from the French Quarter to Riverside or Driving to Fort Wilderness Lodge. My mom is 75 and can't walk very far.

    Hi Lisa!

How exciting that you are taking a horse-drawn carriage ride! This is so much fun and such a unique experience to enjoy! The carriage ride is 25-minutes and leaves from the Riverside Levee Marina at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter are connected by a walking path. It only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk from the lobby of one to the other. It's a beautiful leisurely walk, so it shouldn't be a problem. I can completely understand mobility concerns though. You may want to consider renting an ECV while you are visiting to help your mom get around. You can even make arrangements ahead of time and have it delivered to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Scooterbug is one of the service providers that deliver scooters to Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. You can find them by visiting scooterbug.com/orlando or calling (800) 726-8284.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
    Magically,
    Stacy
