What is the hopper option? I am trying to figure out how I will get from Disney to Epcot and to my hotel?

Hi there, Carol, and welcome to planDisney! I am thrilled that you've stopped by planDisney with this question about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth will be here in just a couple of short weeks, and you must be getting so excited! Now is the perfect time to think about details like transportation, and I'm happy to help you navigate the options!

Carol, you'll be happy to know that, once you're at Walt Disney World Resort, there are plenty of complimentary options for transportation that will get you to your destination safely and efficiently. If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to board a bus, Disney Monorail, the Disney Skyliner, or boat to get to the Disney Theme Parks. Depending on your Resort, one or more of these options will be available to you. If you're not staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you're welcome to drive to the theme park and park your car there. Currently, the price to park starts at $30 per day, though this is subject to change. A Disney Theme Park ticket with Park Hopper Option allows a Guest to enter more than one Disney Theme Park per day. A standard ticket will allow a Guest to enter one park per day.

If you're the kind of person who likes to bop around and do a few activities here and there, you might enjoy having the Park Hopper option. My family likes to visit one park per day so that we can slow down, take our time, and really enjoy the theme park without spending time en route from one to the next.

In case you'd prefer not to drive, you can take a ride share service like Uber whether or not you're staying in a Disney Resort hotel. I've found that this can be convenient at times, though not always necessary when complimentary transportation is so readily available at Walt Disney World Resort.

Be sure to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App and use the map feature to get helpful directions to your next destination. This is helpful when navigating to a nearby restroom, a dining location, or anywhere within Walt Disney World Resort!

Carol, I hope this is helpful to you as you continue to make your plans for your vacation. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your visit!

    See you real soon!
