    Hi! I am hoping to suprise and celebrate my mother's 80th birthday at WDW and stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (she has always wanted to stay there). Are there places at the resort (other than your hotel room) where you can view the animals?

    Welcome BACK to planDisney! I am so happy to see you here asking another vacation question, and it would be my pleasure to help you with an answer. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a resort unlike any other, with your vacation adventure beginning the moment you step foot in this incredible, African-themed resort. It is the perfect place to celebrate your mother’s 80th Birthday!

    The breathtaking views of animals roaming the savannas are not only available from the savanna view resort rooms but in several other animal viewing locations throughout the resort. Upon arrival, you can ask the Front Desk Cast Member for a resort map and look for the savanna overlooks to find the best views. Be sure to check out the Wildlife Field Guide located in your resort room to learn more about African animals and ecosystems. You will be able to delight in spectacular sights of zebras, giraffes, kudu, gazelles, and flamingos.
