    Hoping to see Spirit of Aloha @5:15 on 6/25; 8 seating too late for 8,5,&3yr olds.Was also hoping to catch Wishes from Poly beach. Do you think we could amuse our kids until Wishes?What is in the area? Or should we schedule 8 seating and let kids s

    Katie,

    There are a lot of neat things to see and do at the Polynesian, but you are needing to keep them busy for over 2 hours (as the 6/25 Wishes is scheduled for 10 pm).

    I would normally recommend you try the 8 pm seating, but if things run a bit late you might miss the start of the fireworks.

    So here is what I would suggest;

    • After dinner, take your time leaving. Let others rush out while you take in the last of the experience.
    • Walk the resort and take in the ambiance.
    • Check out the resort's main lobby, including the indoor jungle and stores
    • Get the kids some non-alcoholic umbrella drinks from the Tambu Lounge, or maybe a DoleWhip from Captain Cooks for a late-night snack that fits the mood
    • Get a good seat (or better yet, hammock) on the beach well before 9 pm.
    • Watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the resort beach at 9 am, giving you a good "pre-show" to the fireworks

    Unfortunately the marina and torch ceremony are over by 6, but this should get you to 10, with some time to reconnect after a busy day.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
