Greetings from space, Erin. Actually, 220 miles above Earth, to be exact. That's how far you'll be magically whisked above
EPCOT to
Space 200 Lounge. This is one of my favorite restaurants at
Walt Disney World Resort, so I hope you can get a reservation when your 60-day reservation window opens soon. I'll sprinkle stardust that you can dine here on your upcoming visit.
On my most recent visit a couple of months ago, my husband and I ate dinner in the Space 220 Lounge area. Our server told us we could order off the
lounge menu, or if we preferred, we could opt for the
prix fixe meal offered to the
Space 220 Restaurant guests. We were not offered the option to order a la carte from the prix fixe menu; it was my understanding that we would need to order the three-course dinner meal if we went that route. I wanted to confirm that this is still the case, so I reached out to a friendly Cast Member who verified this information but added that policies are always subject to change. It never hurts to ask your server if you have any special requests.
Erin, there is also a prix fixe option for children, and one entree is Cosmic Chicken tenders. But you may have to order the prix fixe children's meal as a whole, whether you're seated in the lounge or the restaurant. Both restaurants occupy the same room; the restaurant tables are closer to the windows with a view of outer space. But you have a spectacular view from the lounge, as well.
I prefer eating in the lounge area simply because it does offer the choice of light fare or the prix fixe meal. On this recent visit, I enjoyed the Blue Moon Cauliflower and a Stargarita for dinner, and that was a filling and delicious meal.
I hope your visit this summer is out of this world, Erin! Please
stop by planDisney anytime. I'd be over the moon to hear from you again!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
