Hello All!!! I am hoping to save for a rather large family trip either to Disney world, or on a Disney cruise and am wondering if it is safe to save via Disney gift cards?? Thank you so so much for all you all do!

    Hi Cynthia,

It is great to see you here at planDisney! I know you are looking forward to a big family gathering. There is nothing better than a Disney vacation to make the whole family happy!

I often use Disney Gift Cards to pay for my Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World Resort vacations. You can combine cards on the Disney Gift Card website, up to $1,000, which makes it easier to use multiple cards. To make a payment on your Disney Cruise Line reservation, navigate to the Already Booked tab on the website and select Make a Payment. From there, follow the prompts for entering your gift card information. Once onboard the ship, I usually visit Guest Services and add a Disney Gift Card to my onboard account to pay for merchandise, Port Adventures and onboard activities.

For a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you can call the reservation line and quickly apply your gift cards to your balance. You can also use Disney Gift Cards to pay for souvenirs, meals and more at Walt Disney World.

No matter where you decide to vacation with your family, you will find something for everyone aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Walt Disney World Resort! We are here to answer your planning questions and I hope to see you again real soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
