Hello. We were hoping to reserve a couple of rooms at a Disney World Resort for 5 adults and two children. We have not been able to find some. Are we doing it wrong or reserving too late?

    Hey there, Jaime!

June is the height of the summer travel season, so availability may be a little slim for your dates.

One funny thing that I have learned about booking a vacation package on the Walt Disney World Resort website is that it will not give you the option to purchase two rooms at once. So when you enter your traveling party of 7 people, the computer only looks for rooms that can fit your ENTIRE party.

What you will want to do is search for just the amount of people that will be in the first room. Go ahead and complete the transaction by adding your theme park tickets and paying your deposit. Now that that is complete, do the same for the second party.

Now Jaime, the next thing that I am going to tell you may be the most important. As soon as you book your vacation package, go ahead and make your Disney Park Pass system reservations. These reservations do book up and are required for theme park entry so I recommend that you do this as soon as possible. If you would like to check availability before you book, you can easily do that on the Availability Calendar. I actually recommend that you do this before committing to any travel plans.

If you are still not seeing anything available for your dates at a Disney Resorts Collection property, check out the Good Neighbor Hotels. These resorts have been vetted by Disney and are generally very close, or even within, the Walt Disney World property!

I hope that this helped, Jaime!
