HOPING we can plan WDW trip this fall. Would LOVE to kick it off w/ the Wine&Dine 5km as we did last visit. Any word whether this event will be a go for 2021 & when the entry forms will be available?

Hi there, Monica! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop back by and asking another wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Racing with runDisney is the most magical way to get in some exercise while visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Typically, runDisney events take Guests into the theme parks throughout the race routes and allow you to snap some quick photos with your favorite Disney Characters. Once you complete your event, you also receive a gorgeous commemorative medal that can remind you of your accomplishment for years to come!

Following the events of the previous year, many of the runDisney events for the 2020 season were modified or held virtually in an effort to prioritize Guests' safety. This has also been true for the events that have been held at the beginning of the 2021 season. At this time, there has not been any official announcement regarding whether or not future runDisney events will be held virtually or in-person. The best way to stay up-to-date on this information, though, would be to follow the Disney Parks Blog website!

Once more information regarding future events is released, you can generally expect registration for these events to open approximately eight months before the race weekend begins. So, if the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is held in early November as it has been historically, you can anticipate registration opening up in the near future!

In the event that this race series is held virtually, you can still participate in it during your November visit! Many Guests will use the Running Trails at their Disney Resort hotel to complete their event while still enjoying the ambiance and magic of Walt Disney World Resort!

I hope you are able to plan an adventurous start to your November vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
