Hi we are hoping to do horse back riding at Fort Wilderness. Whilst on site we would like to have lunch at Trails End and a little souvenier shopping in the Settlement Trading Post. How do we get from riding to Trails End? Can we bring the car?

    Hi there Nicola,

Welcome back to planDisney! Your magical Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner, so let's get you the information you need to plan your day at the Fort Wilderness Resort and take advantage of the activities there.

The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is located near the entrance to the Fort Wilderness Resort, near the main parking area. That's where you will meet your trusty steed for your trail ride experience. Please note that reservations are strongly recommended, though same-day reservations may be available on a limited basis.

Once you finish your ride, mosey on over to the nearby Outpost Bus Station to catch a shuttle to the Settlement Depot Bus Stop. From there, it's a short walk to Trail's End, Crockett's Tavern and the Settlement Trading Post.

If you've worked up a ferocious appetite on your ride, you can Mobile Order your lunch from the My Disney Experience Mobile App as you make your way toward the Settlement area. (I'm partial to the fried chicken at Trail's End myself.)

After you've eaten and shopped, you can catch the bus back to the front of the resort to pick up your car or to board a bus to one of the theme parks or Disney Springs.

Happy trails, Nicola. Please let us know if you have any other last-minute questions as you get ready for your visit.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
