Hi Amelia,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for your question about booking rooms at a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection.
You absolutely should be able to book one accessible room and one standard room for your Walt Disney World vacation. Since you can only book one room at a time online, I'd suggest you call the Disney
phone line for Tickets and Hotel Reservations for your booking. That way, you can explain exactly what you need to a cast member who will help you with your reservation.
Accessible rooms can vary as well, so you can let the cast member know whether you need a roll-in shower, for example, or other specific accommodations.
You may or may not be able to book your accessible and standard rooms as connecting rooms or adjacent rooms because they are different types of accommodations. When I needed a wheelchair accessible room a few years ago after an accident, my husband and I were able to add a standard room for our adult daughter a few doors away. Proximity will depend on availability and the inventory of accessible rooms at the resort you choose.
I hope that's helpful, Amelia. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you make your plans. We're always happy to assist.
Enjoy,
Wilma
